Drive-thru planned for REC's 81st Annual Meeting in October

REC is making changes for the 81st Annual Meeting. With the continued concerns of the pandemic, REC will host a drive-thru style annual meeting this year.

Members are invited to a drive-thru at the Multi-Purpose Center on Saturday, October 3 to register and vote. Each member will receive their registration gifts and cast their ballot to vote for REC’s Board of Trustees.

“For the safety and concern of our members and employees, we felt it was necessary to make changes this year for us to have our annual meeting,” says CEO Dale Nye. “We look forward to annual meeting the same way our members do. However, we are mindful of what is happening in the world and each individual's comfort level with the ongoing pandemic concerns and felt this was the best way to honor having an annual meeting while being as safe as possible for everyone involved.”

Members will receive their registration notice in the mail along with their prize drawing ticket. New for this year, members will receive their voting ballot in the mail with their registration notice. To help the drive-thru line move faster please come with your ballot filled out and ready to cast your vote.

Each registering member who comes through the drive-thru will receive a $25 bill credit on their next bill in addition to their registration bag. Members will still have an opportunity to be entered to win three grand prize drawings for a $500 gift certificate for electricity and 75, $75 gift certificates for electricity. Members do not have to be present to win these drawings.

“We are looking forward to hosting annual meeting even if it looks differently than other years’ in the past. We still want all of our members to come,” Nye says.
