Getting involved with REC starts with Annual Meeting
Consumers who get their electricity from a cooperative are not only customers-they are members and owners.
Cooperatives are consumer-owned businesses, meaning among other perks, they do not sell stock on Wall Street, belong to the local government or have a single owner. Instead, you and your neighbors are all part-owners.
The president of your Cooperative’s Board of Trustees is a consumer, just like you. And if you want to run for a seat on the board, you can. You also get to vote during board elections.
So get involved with your electric cooperative. Come to annual meeting and learn more about the cooperative and the opportunities available. Consider lending your time and expertise by serving on a committee.
Cooperatives are known for helping their members through tough times and we are here to serve you.
