REC hires new CEO

REC recently hired Dusty Ricks to fill the CEO position. Ricks is a long-time resident of Blanchard and served as the Superintendent of Mid-America Technology Center for 15 years.


Ricks graduated from Oklahoma State University and began his career in Agricultural Education, where he taught Agricultural Education at Perry, Blanchard and Newcastle Public Schools for 14 years. Upon completing his master’s degree in secondary education from University of Oklahoma he served as the Middle School Principal for Blanchard for one year.


In 1998, he started at MATC where he has served in many roles including Director of Operations, Assistant Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent. Then in 2005, Ricks was named the Superintendent of MATC.


Under his leadership, MATC has given students more opportunities and assistance with achieving career goals. His unwavering commitment and support started a trend at MATC which will continue for years to come.He is looking forward to bringing the same level of commitment to REC and serving the members.


“I am looking forward to meeting our members and getting to know the community more, while learning the new challenges of the electric industry,” says Ricks.
