The top 14 entries will be displayed in a calendar given to REC's members during the yearly Annual Meeting. All art entries will be judged by a panel of judges who will judge the artwork based on knowledge and skill. Students participating in the contest must attend a school within REC's service territory. Individual or team entries are acceptable.
Contest winners receive:
- Artwork displayed in calendar
- Each month winner (October to October) will receive $50
- Front Cover winner will receive $100
Theme: (each entry must contain the following)
- Rural emphasis
- Electrical theme
- REC letters somewhere on the entry
Requirements:
- Any art mediums preferred by artist (pen, crayon, paint, marker, charcoal, etc.)
- Submit entry on a letter-sized sheet of paper (8.5 x 11 inches)
- Landscape orientation only
- Entries created by students must be their own original artwork. Copyrighted characters or copyright clip art will not be accepted.
- Do not sign the front of artwork
- Attached entry form to the back on artwork.
Eligibility:
- Students pre-k through 12th grade
- Must attend school within REC's service territory
