Chief Financial Officer
REC is seeking an experienced and strategic CFO to help lead the financial success and long-term stability of our Cooperative. The CFO will oversee all financial operations and serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and the Board of Trustees. We are looking for a collaborative, forward-thinker leader who possesses strong financial expertise, sound judgement, excellent communications skills, ethical standards and commitment to serving our member-owners and communities.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership for all accounting and financial operations
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash management and audits
- Provide strategic leadership in long-term financial planning, capital structure, financing, liquidity and rate-related financial relationships
- Lead and develop accounting and finance staff
- Participate in Board Meetings and serve as staff liaison to the Audit Committee
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance
- 10+ years of accounting or financial experience
- Leadership and supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and strategic financial planning
Preferred:
- CPA certification
- Advanced degree
- Electric utility experience
- Familiarity with RUS/ FERC accounting requirements and cooperative financial principles
