Chief Executive Officer / General Manager

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, this executive position is responsible for the overall management and leadership of the Cooperative, including strategic planning, financial oversight, member services, regulatory compliance and organizational development.

Qualified candidate should possess:

  • Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible management experience, including at least five years in senior leadership
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Public Administration or a related field preferred
  • Rural electric cooperative or electric utility experience preferred
  • Knowledge of planning, budgeting, supervision and organizational management

The successful candidate must be willing to reside within REC's service territory and represent the Cooperative throughout the community and industry. Competitive salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

IT Systems and Security Engineer

A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field - or equivalent work experience or vocational training - is required, along with a minimum of five years of IT experience.

This senior-level role is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the Cooperative's IT and OT infrastructure, ensuring alignment with organizational strategic goals and applying appropriate technology and cybersecurity frameworks. The position involves managing complex IT projects and ensuring the reliability and security of all systems.
